A casual buttoned shirt juxtaposed with workwear qualities. It’s made from 100% cotton. Japanese denim that’s been pre-shrunk for superior comfort and rope-dyed for exceptional fading properties. The rope-dyeing process begins with cotton yarns bundled into a rope and then dipped in a sequence of indigo dye baths. Exposure to air between dips causes the absorbed indigo to slowly oxidize and turn the yarn blue. Timing is important so that the indigo dye doesn’t penetrate to the core of the yarn. While the outer circumference of the yarn is dyed with multiple layers, the core remains white. Denim crafted from rope-dyed yarns will gradually shed, breaking in layers of indigo to reveal white core yarn underneath. These highs and lows reveal characteristics and personality unique to each wearer.
